Role Overview
The Back-End Developer will design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and database structures to enhance functionality and performance. You’ll collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality delivery within an Agile SCRUM framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead back-end development using Drupal/Acquia Site Studio
- Design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and database structures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
- Ensure defect-free deployment by working with the testing team
- Write, refine, and progress JIRA tickets; troubleshoot issues
- Maintain website through updates and security patches
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate advancements
- Develop technical documentation (system architecture, API specifications)
- Support deployment and monitoring in production environments
- Work within SCRUM Agile Framework (training provided if needed)
Eligibility Requirements
- Proficient in PHP with expertise in object-oriented programming and Drupal
- Extensive experience in Drupal custom module development (Services, Plugins, Controllers, core APIs)
- Hands-on experience with Acquia products, especially Site Studio
- Command-line proficiency (Linux, Drush, Composer, Git, MySQL)
- Strong knowledge of server-side languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and version control (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in team settings
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker) is a plus
- Experience in Agile product teams, ideally with SCRUM
