University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Cyber Analyst to join the Cyber Security Team. As digital transformation accelerates across the NHS, so too do the risks. The Trust is investing in cyber security to protect systems, safeguard sensitive information, and ensure services run securely.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and ‘At Risk’ status candidates throughout Devon who can demonstrate relevant experience.
Main Duties of the Job
What You’ll Be Doing

Monitoring and responding to security threats

Supporting threat hunting and vulnerability assessments

Triaging and resolving user requests via the IT Service Desk

Assisting with compliance tasks such as DSPT submissions
-
Collaborating with technical teams and external partners
-
Helping improve cyber security posture across the Trust

Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor, analyse, and interpret security alerts and incidents

Identify compromised systems, abnormal user behaviour, and missing/outdated security controls

Provide cyber security guidance to Digital & Innovation teams
-
Escalate critical security issues with actionable recommendations
-
Communicate potential threats to the IT Services Senior Cyber Team
-
Perform regular vulnerability assessments and manage risks
-
Support assurance evidence for committees, DSP Toolkit returns, and audits
-
Work with the cyber team on service requests, investigations, and maintenance
