The Telemarketer Role
The Telemarketer will be responsible for researching Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), identifying decision-makers within targeted businesses, gathering essential information such as business size and contact details, and booking discovery calls for prospects with the Business Development Manager. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate conversations to extract relevant information.
Key Responsibilities

Research Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs): Conduct thorough research to identify and understand the characteristics of the ideal customer for products/services. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to refine and update Ideal Customer Profiles.

Identify Decision-Makers: Initiate outbound calls to potential customers and engage in conversations to identify key decision-makers within the organization. Communicate the value proposition of products/services.

Gather Business Information: Extract relevant information about the size and structure of targeted businesses. Record accurate and detailed data on potential clients, including needs, preferences, and specific requirements.

Book Discovery Calls:

Assess interest and potential fit for company solutions.

Introduce the purpose and value of a discovery call with the Business Development Manager (BDM).

Coordinate and schedule discovery calls, send meeting invitations or reminders, and manage follow-ups.

Record all booked calls accurately in the CRM with relevant notes and contextual information.

Build and Maintain a Database: Create and update a comprehensive database of potential clients using CRM tools.

Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the Sales team to share insights, collaborate on outreach strategies, and provide regular progress updates.
The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in telemarketing or a similar outbound calling role.

Understanding of SaaS businesses and identifying key decision makers.

Strong research skills with the ability to analyse data and identify key trends.

Passion for Tech: Genuine interest in technology and its value to clients.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication with strong articulation of product/service features.

Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset aimed at meeting client needs.
