Britannia Social Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants with a great sense of humour to join the team on a full-time / part-time / bank basis. Britannia Social Care is rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission and is one of the preferred/recommended providers of Home Care in the West Midlands.
In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own home, ensuring comfort and well-being at all times. Communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are vital. A valid driving licence and vehicle are essential. Please note Britannia Social Care does not provide sponsorship for overseas applicants. Reliability, trustworthiness, kindness, and a caring attitude are required. Training is provided by internal and external trainers and senior staff.
Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.

Provide requested medication support.

Support clients in maintaining independence while ensuring safety and comfort.

Communicate regularly with clients to understand needs and preferences.

Follow care plans meticulously to meet all health and personal care requirements.

Maintain accurate records of client care and report changes in health or behaviour.

Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.

Ensure a clean and safe environment in line with health and safety regulations.

Provide complex support (with training) for PEG, NIV, Oxygen therapies, suction, and tracheostomy.

Provide holistic palliative support with multi-agencies in End-of-Life care.
Requirements

One year experience in Domiciliary Care.

Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Valid driving licence and vehicle (essential).

Basic IT skills beneficial for record-keeping and communication.

Caring attitude and genuine desire to help others.

Flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs.

Pay: Competitive Payment
