Role Overview

Support Workers empower service users to lead full and active lives, respecting their wishes and choices while ensuring safety and wellbeing. You’ll provide emotional support, assist with daily living tasks, and encourage independence, all within a person-centred framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users in line with care plans and assessed needs
  • Safeguard individuals’ welfare and protect them from abuse
  • Provide emotional support and maintain a person-centred approach
  • Assist with social activities, community engagement, finances, medication, and personal care
  • Act as an informal point of contact for families and social workers
  • Accurately report and record issues to monitor health and wellbeing
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations

Eligibility Requirements

  • Caring, compassionate, and passionate about helping others
  • Values-driven approach (experience in care not essential)
  • Ability to remain positive during challenging days
  • Team player with initiative and willingness to support colleagues
  • Must pass an Enhanced DBS check prior to employment

Training & Development

  • Paid comprehensive induction programme (face-to-face, e-learning, shadowing)
  • Support to complete the Care Certificate
  • Opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care (via Paragon Training)
